Although the CFP founding team consists of three English teachers, there’s still plenty of number-interest over here at 301 Main. Whether we’re checking our Instagram followers or counting down the days to the next info session, we think a lot about numbers–so it seems fitting to recount 2025 in numerical terms. In the category of THINGS, here’s the breakdown: 1 building, 5 rolling chairs, 2 desks, 2 paper cutters, 1 (enormous) fiddle leaf fig. Moving on to EVENTS, we added several fun ones this year, the event total coming to: 4 teen programs, 2 trivia nights, 3 open houses, 2 info sessions, and 4 hours of bubble-making at River City Roots Festival. (If that sounds like a lot of time spent on bubbles, it was!!!) When it came to counting HUMANS, we blissed out this year! So many wonderful people added to our 2025 joy: 481 social media followers, 350 newsletter subscribers, 30 summer/after school students, 19 video collaborators, and 1 painter (who covered 7,300 square feet of walls!) And finally, thanks to the boundless generosity of our wonderful cheerleaders, CFP’s final tally on our year-end giving: $48,750! For sure, 2025 offered up plenty of challenges–for everyone–but in the final reckoning, this year filled our buckets and buoyed our spirits. I like the generosity of numbers. The way, for example, they are willing to count anything or anyone: two pickles, one door to the room, eight dancers dressed as swans.
Whether we’re thinking in numbers or words, abundant joy is the 2025 vibe. Three cheers to you, our dear readers!
