It’s early yet in 2025 but not too early for predictions. Lots writers and influencers have already published their in-and-out lists for the year, and we’re ready to add ours to the mix. OUT Securing a space. That’s right: Clark Fork Prep has signed a lease! After touring 15 locations over the course of two years and with tireless help from Realtor Extraordinaire, Jason Shreder, CFP is finally putting down an anchor. Our new digs? 301 Main–also known as Missoula’s former public library. We’ll be moving into the first floor and getting the space ready so we can start . . . IN . . . welcoming students! With a place to call home, we can start planning classes! For three-week Immersives, we’re dreaming up topics like “The Science of Science Fiction,” “The Business of Art,” or “The Hidden Stories of Chinese Montanans.” And we’re also designing our Explorations classes–maybe The Art of Improv? Or Leadership Training with EmpowerMT? Or perhaps we’ll team up with UM for Tech 101 where students consider the ethical and moral implications of generative AI. Missoula has no shortage of community mentors eager to share their expertise. But those are our ideas. We also want to give students a voice in shaping their school, so we’re introducing Word of Advice. Got an idea for a class? Want to brainstorm school traditions? Submit your proposal to Word of Advice–and help chart the course for Clark Fork Prep into the future. Teenagers bring passion, creativity, intelligence, and humor into the classroom, and that’s exactly where CFP wants to be. We’re all in!
